In a unexpected partnership that defies traditional expectations, Ubisoft has announced an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

According to the formal statement, "An unusual confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where hints of forbidden ceremonies and monstrous changes echo through the darkness." The storyline introduces a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret group.

The mission centers on "strange tests and a fearsome enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Metamorphoses

The teaser highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview concludes with a striking scene showing a character, presumably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
