Emails Reveal Jeffrey Epstein and former Trump strategist Relationship

In late 2018, Steve Bannon, previously a top aide to Donald Trump, visited the UK preparing for a address at the prestigious Oxford Union.

The event was disrupted by numerous demonstrators, and Bannon, who was due to board a flight that night, told Jeffrey Epstein in an email: "Activists delayed speech I doubt I can make the flight we are heading to the airport".

Epstein replied: "There. Is a Gulf Air that leaves at 950 with a layover in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "U r an excellent helper".

These messages were released on this week together with more than 20,000 documents from the records of Epstein, the deceased financier convicted of sex crimes.

The release by the Congressional committee includes an text conversation where Bannon's name is redacted. The BBC has been able to establish his identity by cross-referencing the timeline, occurrences, and locations mentioned.

For instance, Epstein discusses chartering a plane from the UK for the redacted user in the messages, and commends their "address at Oxford". Bannon took part in the News Xchange conference on November 14, and gave the talk at the Oxford two days later.

Bannon, who is not accused of any wrongdoing, did not reply on the request for comment.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon was one of Trump's key aides in the lead-up to the 2016 election and during the initial phase of his presidency, but stepped down from the White House in August 2017.

He has acknowledged he was producing a documentary about Epstein before his death and allegedly has around 15 hours of recordings. In a live taping of his show recently, he said: "We plan to release the film, the multi-part documentary, next year - early next year."

But the recently disclosed documents suggest Bannon's relationship with Epstein extended than being his biographer, with the disgraced financier at times seeming to act like a personal assistant.

A short time prior to the conversation in which Epstein appeared to have arranged a private plane for Bannon, Epstein said: "how does it feel to have the highest-paid booking agent in the world ".

Bannon expressed gratitude: "U r quite capable asst", to which Epstein responded "Therapies. Excluded".

Discussing a visit to "AD" in another message, Epstein assured Bannon: "I will ensure you are taken care of."

British Affairs Mentioned in Exchanges

The published communications also reveal Bannon and Epstein discussing UK politics in 2018.

Earlier on the day of his address at the Oxford Union, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I've gotten pulled into the Brexit thing this day with Farage, Boris and Mogg."

Then, in what seems like a allusion to Theresa May, the struggling British leader at the period, he added: "They are trying to move on. may today / tomorrow…"

Epstein advised Bannon: "I think staying as long as you can uk. Best-- so people get the commitment of your follow-up."

Soon after, Epstein inquired: "Can Theresa may remain in power". Bannon replied: "It seems unlikely BUT the people here have no balls" and noted "Johnson ; Michael Gove; Rees Mogg; David Davis - someone has to step up".

Theresa May was eventually removed in May 2019 after surviving two votes of lack of support in December 2018.

A representative for the political party told the BBC: "Nigel Farage has not been in a gathering with Bannon, Rees-Mogg and Johnson." And there is nothing to suggest such a meeting occurred.

The Congress will vote soon on whether the justice department should make public all its records concerning its investigation into Epstein, who passed away in jail in that year.

Attention in Epstein's relationships with influential individuals was reignited recently after the publication of over 20,000 pages from his archives.

Some of those referenced the former president, who has consistently rejected any impropriety. The leader was a acquaintance of Epstein's for a long time, but claims they fell out in the 2000s, a couple of years prior to Epstein was first arrested.
